Hours vary weekly between Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm.

Hourly Rate:

Role purpose:

We are looking for a motivated and hard-working individual to join our business. The right candidate must be proactive and able to use their own initiative when it is necessary to do so. They must be capable of completing work to a high standard, whilst adhering to procedures and processes at all times. As a field service engineer you will be responsible for attending to woodworking machinery related breakdowns and planned servicing.

The role will require that you are able to travel and stay away from home from time to time. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience and have an aptitude for working with tools and related equipment.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Driving from site to site and working outside in all weather conditions
  • As a trainee you will be sharing a company van with an experience Field Engineer
  • The team covers both local and non-local sites particularly in the North-West and Anglian regions
  • You must enjoy working outdoors and driving long distances as these are integral to the role
  • Lifting, carrying and moving equipment and chamber covers
  • Entry into and working within confined spaces
  • Installing and maintaining a variety of mechanical instrumentation
  • Communicate with clients to determine needs and explain complex issues
  • Conduct research and studies on site

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Maintenance engineering experience preferable
  • Entry level engineering qualification preferred
  • Interest desire to learn about machinery maintenance is a must
  • Driving licence preferred
