Kickstart Role – Social Media Assistant

Contracted Hours: 25 hours per week.

Working Pattern: Between 9am – 10pm, Monday – Friday.

Hourly Rate: National Minimum Wage based on age.

Job Placement Summary:

The Pit Stop is a cafe & kitchen in Sunderland, we offer a variety of dishes including daily specials. We also have a sister company – Sosta Italian Kitchen.

What you will be doing:

  • Create marketing and social media campaigns and strategies.
  • Ensure brand consistency in marketing and social media messages by working with various company department members.
  • Providing training and guidance to social media and marketing team members on social media implementation best practices and strategies.
  • Collecting customer data and analyses interactions and visits, plus using this information to create comprehensive reports and improve future marketing strategies and campaigns.
  •  Report progress to senior marketing management.
  • Growing and expanding company social media presence into new social media platforms, plus increase presence on existing platforms including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram.
  • Researching and monitoring activity of company competitors.
  • Creating and distributing engaging written or graphic content in the form of e-newsletters, web page and blog content, or social media messages.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • A solid understanding of the use of a range of social media platforms, particularly in relation to advertising/branding and customers.
  • Ability to work accurately and pay close attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills.
  • The capacity to prioritise and work across multiple projects.
  • Excellent team working, collaboration and networking skills.
