For nearly 50 years, since 1974, We have designed and built award winning gardens throughout Gloucestershire and the surrounding counties, and our garden landscaping projects include front and rear gardens in local towns such as Cheltenham, Cirencester and Bristol, along with large village and country gardens throughout the Cotswolds and beyond. Role purpose:

You will create and maintain beautiful outdoor spaces. The successful candidate will form part of our team working on both commercial and private projects. Our work is from concept through design and into installation, we offer the complete range of landscaping services. We work at lots of different properties so there is a degree of variety. Our company is known for our professional standards.

We enjoy all aspects of landscaping with our business being established for over 50 years. We looking to take on a trainee who is positive and energetic and wants to learn about the industry we thrive in. We need someone who is polite and friendly who enjoys working outside in all weathers.

Essential skills, experience and qualifications:

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Care for lawns and plants using a variety of tools, including rakes, saws, shovels, trimmers, axes and pruning saws, to ensure they remain aesthetically pleasing.
  • Work from design plans
  • Keep plants and flowers healthy by pruning and trimming trees and shrubs and weeding, mulching and aerating.
  • Plant new grass and foliage following planned designs to create the yard as prescribed by the client and/or landscape designer.
  • Order supplies
  • Fertilise the lawns and plants and apply any herbicides or pesticides to keep the foliage healthy and thriving.
  • Keep flower beds and garden areas clean by picking up any dead branches and flowers as well as trimming or picking the plants as needed.
  • Prepare the ground or interior space
  • Assist in placing decorative rocks, stones, statues and other items around the lawn to facilitate the completion of the overall aesthetic look.
  • Some landscaping experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • Good stamina and physical health.
  • Good time keeping skills
  • Keen eye for detail
